President Obama
Over the last few weeks I’ve had a change of heart, mostly thanks to all the talks I’ve had with my new roommates, and aaalmost voted for Obama yesterday. I didn’t want to switch my vote last minute because this way of thinking was so new to me, so much different than everything I learned growing up at church and home.
But when Obama won yesterday, I felt patriotic for the first time in 7 years, since 9/11. And this time it wasn’t out of fear, but out of hope. This generation has come so far and there is so much to be done and Obama is such an inspiration to young people everywhere. I may not agree with everything he stands for or some of his economic policies, but GWB has done such an incredible job running this country into the ground over the last 8 years that we really need to try something new right now.
And let’s be honest, if you didn’t cry during Obama’s speech last, you should get checked out…
I am extremely proud to be an American and will put 100% of my support behind Barack Obama in these next 4 years. Just wanted to say that.
